Punctured Float Repair

Over time the float might puncture. Especially when garaged for a long time. Anyway that's what I've experienced with two Stromberg floats.
The puncture itself was next to impossible to locate with the naked eye.
My friend suggested to put the float in the freezer to cool the air inside it.
In theori the cold air would expand when outside the freezer. If the expansion took place in water maybe bubbles would occur.
And so they did.
It turns out the puncture were located where the metal hinge connects to the float itself.
I will fix the wholes with Araldite, Araseal-Epoxy Putty.
